5 days

Yesterday, I started a five-day high-fiber cleanse called Reset. The program consists of three meal replacement drinks, two snack bars, two vitamin packs, one cup of fruit, and one cup of veggies. I thought it was going to be very difficult, but I was surprised last night when I felt full before finishing my greenbeans. The cleanse is designed to regulate your sugar levels and curb the cravings, especially of carbs. The average person loses five pounds during the cleanse. So far, I've lost one pound.

Summertime!

Chris and I are becoming more and more settled in our new home. We've recently order blinds, installed ceiling fans, and are receiving new to us living room furniture.

Foster care will soon be a reality as we recently completed all of the paperwork. The kids bedroom is sooo cute, if I don't say so myself.

Chris is heading to Philly on Friday for the national convention. He'll be on the road for quite a while, because they're driving through Canada on their way home. He's super excited to be traveling in a showhauler!!! And, I'm jealous!

I'm going to have a couple of visitors while Chris is away. My dad's coming to town for Father's Day and my mom's gonna bring Imara at some point. It's so nice having people over at our new home! I'm never going to get tired of it!!!

We finally have cable and Internet at home, so I'll be connected with the world again :)

I'm just trying to enjoy my summer vacation as much as possible, because I'm going to have a busy fall.

Right now, I'm reading The Bridge. If you love American History, Civil Rights, and Barack Obama, you'll LOVE this book!

Our animals are doing well. Zeus's age is starting to show. He's showing us that his hearing isn't what it used to be! Unfortunately, Sharky, the beta fish from my classroom, died a few days ago. I made a new home for him in a 5-gallon jug, and apparently it was too much for him to handle.

I've decided to become a principal, so I'm beginning my second masters in the fall. It'll take me about two years, depending on how things fall into place.

Chris and I are anticipating the arrival of a foster child in the near future. And, since the miscarriage in May, we're just about ready to start trying to conceive again.

This fall, I'll be coaching the AWC Dance Team and teaching adult ballet at Yuma Ballet Academy. I'll probably tutor as well. I've also applied to be a PDS Instructor for ASU.

I like to have a full plate, but I'm going to slow down when children come into the picture :)
